Rates
Rates are as follows:
- Individual Counselling: $100 per session, 60 minute sessions
- Couples Counselling: $150 per session, 60 minute sessions
- In special circumstances, I also offer a sliding rate scale.
Insurance
Most insurance companies require your counsellor to be a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or a Canadian Clinical Counsellor (CCC). RCC’s are certified by the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). CCC’s are certified by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
I have my RCC and CCC certifications.
Check with your healthcare insurance provider to see what they require. Hint: most healthcare insurance providers include counselling or psychotherapy under ‘Paramedical’. Government healthcare legislation and documentation tend to group counsellors under Allied Healthcare.
